Location
The plants photographed on this web site grow in my garden near Amlwch on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales (UK). It is half a mile from the North Coast and has a very open aspect to the South West, that's where the prevailing wind comes from.
The Winter of 2010 to 2011 provided a snow layer of 20cm for over 1 week, the longest & deepest I've seen since I came here 25 years ago. This has knocked quite several hebes (and other plants) substantialy, some of which I doubt will recover. Fortunately most of these were not accurately named. This gives an oppotunity to plant the named hebes that I have in pots!
Many of the plants came from, & identifications verified by, members of the Hebe Society.
